Knight Fox vs. Rally

I'm on my way to Midgar, just walking down a dirt path, when I feel cold steel against the back of my head. Even though I had heard her coming a mile back, I had decided to play easy to get, hard to handle. "Are you carrying anything Craven?" I know the voice instantly.
I raise my hands slowly, and turn to see none other than Rally Vincent, Gunsmith Cat. "To what do I owe the pleasure, Miss Vincent?" I ask casually, as I stare down the barrel of a custom Army issued M1911. I was always impressed by how much she could change the complete design of a common pistol to make it look like something out of Terminator.
"Well, actually this is just a courtesy call." She is lying. She wants to put me behind bars so badly, she would go to any length to do it. A wise man had this girl in mind when he said the end justifies the means. Even though she hated me, I loved to play with her. "Rather long distance for a courtesy call, don't you think?" I ask as she lowers her gun and we walk together to Midgar. For some reason the anger or hate isn't there when I look in her eyes. As a matter of fact, she's wearing heels and perfume. She puts a hand on my shoulder so she can adjust the shoes, "Yeah, especially in these things."
For once the suspense is killing me. I point out a nice patch of grass and we both take a seat while she massages her feet. "Actually, red is your color, but you couldn't sneak up on a corpse in those shoes. Also, not to be blunt, but what kind of cologne are you wearing?" She stops in mid rub.
"I actually have a confession to make." Oh boy here it comes. "Back when you had a price on your head, you were the one that always got away. Now, that I think about it, I don't think I ever wanted to catch you, because well I … um… I … oh forget it." She straddles my body, pushes me on my back, kissing me the whole way. "Gee… you should get tongue-tied more often. Oh, your gun is digging into my hip." As I expected, she raises up and pulls a .357 magnum from a place I'll never see. As we start to kiss, a flashback of my only love pops into my head. I gently push Rally away and stand up.
"What's wrong? Is it me? Did I come on too strong? Am I not beautiful enough…" I raise my right hand, ring finger showing the ring I had managed to keep all these billions of years. "You never said you were married," she says, replacing the big gun back in its place.
"You never asked." A cold reply, but I have been doing stuff like this for a while. I have actually gotten pretty good at it. "There's just too much devotion here."
"God, I can't even get a man when I try. Why? What do I always do wrong? What is it with me?" She turns her back to me, but I can still tell she's crying. Funny. I never thought she would have to worry about being loved so much. I walk over, turn her around and just hold her. She cries into my chest for a good five minutes. "I'm sorry to have bothered you. I guess you don't want to be seen with a loser like me, right?"
If that wasn't a female's voice, I'd swear those were the words of the weak 18 year old Matthew Moore. "Rally, If you'd have done what you just did with me for just about any other guy in the world, you would have been married by Sunday." It's Saturday, for the record. She gives a faint smile, but she still has her doubts. That I can see in her eyes. "Alright, I'll prove to you that I'm not an ordinary guy. Step back and strap yourself in, girl, because here's TRUE POWER!"
The first part of the transformation has me surrounded by red fire. Then my arms and legs grow orange fur, and my nails extend to claws. Finally, my torso and head transform into that of a fox's. My hair starts at the top of the back of my head, spikes toward the ground and is a gold color, and my eyes glow dark red. In this form, I radiate a red essence. "Now, do you see why you couldn't tame the Knight Fox?"
To say she's shocked would be an understatement. "Don't try to ask me how it happened, you wouldn't understand if I told you. Just understand that I've been like this now for a grand total of forty billion years. Twenty years of that long stretch, I have been officially married. A villain took her from me. Even though she's gone she still has my heart. Do you understand now?"
Rally nods her head yes, and looks at her watch. "God, I'm late. I was supposed to meet May back at the hotel in Rocketown." She collects her things and walks to me again. "Will we see each other again?" Her heels in one hand and trying to wipe away the runny mascara at the same time. "Is there a way?"
"If fate allows it, I sure wouldn't mind. I have got to know what your husband and kids are gonna look like. Oh… by the way take this." I hand her my custom DD4 Dostevi, custom with rubberized grip, long range scope, laser sight for close range and the ability for it to hold four rounds over its maximum amount. "You'll need that more than I will and I don't really use it anymore anyway." I turn to walk away and add over my shoulder. "If you listen to what your heart says, you can't go wrong. It whispers, so listen very closely." With that I walk away. Maybe she'll take my advice. I sure hope so. Rally Vincent is the toughest nice person anyone can meet.
I stand at the walls of Midgar. I wonder whom I can help or fight in the future.
