Breathing Alone

Never felt
Illuminating
Without
Thinking
Of what could change
To make you
Mine again
I swallowed hard
I took the challenge
Never yielding
I walked alone
Kept up the smile
On the inside
I held down bile
After hours
Tears fall silent
A wet pillow
As confidant
When remembering
That you're gone
Such a battle
To be won
On a slope
So slanted
After being
So enchanted
With your love
In my heart
Of my life
You were part
Loneliness
I must endure
This illness
I must cure
Someday sleep
Withour a tear
Be at peace
And quell my fear
