The Dance

Holding me close
We dance together
Sweet music fills my ears
Sweeter yet
The sound of your voice
Your song fills my heart
Makes me feel alive
We pause and you stare
Awe settles on your beautiful face
I wonder what has
Captured your heart
“You” your voice softly says
upon seeing the wonder in my eyes
I feel at a loss
Not knowing how to respond
You know my thoughts
“Don’t respond, just receive”
You told me once again,
Unable to move I just watch you
We stare at each other
Your eyes fill my vision
Slowly you come close again
You take me in your arms
With a song that speaks to my spirit
You sing to me and dance
With me in your arms
