City Girl
~By Carol Scardar
Fancy frills and lace
Were never meant for me,
For I'm a city girl,
And in my heart I'll always be.
Breathe exhaust fumes,
While watching all the blackened plumes.
Dance throughout the darkened night,
Knowing everthings alright.
Wherever I may roam
Forever Chicago is my home.
