Oceans Apart

~By Munro

For Ages ships on this country.
Many souls left the ruins of wood.
Footsteps on the sand, reflecting past times.
Men and women housing their bodies in huts.

Centuries flown away by the silent wind of Western Australia.
Smaller villages evolving into towns.
Yet on secret remains a treasure.
One treasure which awaited its key.

A key on a distant continent, a key without a home.
Wondering each tide which treasure he may open.
Searching for her in every despite.
But his eyes where not yet to see, the beautiful blue eyes far away.

He fought to find all beach but missed one.
Rockingham beach where his loved one had gone.
Then he realised where to be.
To find his girl in a vision he had seen.

Then he came around a beach on day.
Which name he did not hear.
Listening to an Angel treasuring his name.
For who may speak so soft, which angel may that be?

Benjamin darling she sang to me.
Waving hair and sparkling eyes, was what I could only see.
I pray to my angels knowing no lies.
She sang to me, the love of her life.

I rushed to her through the white sand.
Quickly she turned around but was not surprised.
There you are, for where have you been?
I answered, nowhere as good as here.
