The Dream

I dreamt I was dreaming last night,
While I was curled up in my bed,
What I dreamt was a nightmare,
And I screamed out loud in my head.I dreamt I was dreaming last night,
That I couldn't get out of my dream,
I was thrashing and crying someone help me,
No-one was there toanswer my screams.I dreamt I was dreaming last night,
I was trapped, alone and afraid,
I couldn't escape from the madness,
That my unconscious mind had made.I dreamt I was dreaming last night,
Banging my hand against the wall,
I was struggling to surface from my sleep,
When I realised I'd just dreamt it all.
