The Spiders Parlour

~By Darth Sidious

Quietly I crept, through the mist filled path,
Like a predator's breath, the chilled air blew against my neck.
Looking around, a few lights could I see,
Like the eyes of an owl, glowing in the night.
Closer I drew to the doors of the house,
Looming like some great tree, tall and strong.
I pushed against the hard oak door,
As it swung open, it creaked like some unseen monster snarling at me.

Inside I stepped, looking around the foul place,
A smell loomed, like that of blood, but somehow different.
A light shone from the stairwell, covered in cobwebs,
Like some invitation of warmth from the cold reality of the night.
I was drawn in, slowly, silently, I moved onwards,
Like a fly drawn into the Spiders Palour, unknowing of danger.
I moved through the cobwebs mindlessly, not caring,
Accended, like some drone followling orders without question.

I saw a room, the room, of which the light came,
Only now, it filled me with a dread like no other.
What I saw broke my spirit, and my mind,
Though my limbs moved me onwards like some puppet.
Closer I drew to the monster that lay ahead,
Fangs drawn, as if some snarling cat.
And then it striked like lightning for my neck,
I felt my life draining away...
