Don't Wanna Grow Up

~By Aussie

I don't wanna grow up, Daddy.
When you're old, you have to be brave.
You have to kill monsters, scare them away,
It's your little daughter you have to save.

I don't wanna grow up, Mummy.
When you're old, there's nowhere to go.
I'm always safe when I sit in your lap,
I trust this you already know?

I don't wanna grow up, Daddy.
You scare away the monsters, you see.
But when I get older, when I grow up,
The person to get rid of them is me.

I don't wanna grow up, Mummy.
I'm too young to go face the world.
I don't wanna worry about all the problems,
I just wanna be a 6 year old girl.

But it's too late now, guys.
I've seen all the scary things to see.
And now I know I have only one monster,
The thing I fear most now, is me.
