Hiei of the Makai

~By Raederle McDermot

Your wild hair, your burning eyes
Your deep strong voice
Takes me by surprise
I cannot fathom
It is eternally true
Height and stature are not one with you.

The dark dragon calls to me
It levels Tokyo
A weakness, a liability
But with that foible come great power
You control the massive devastation
You decide what deserves obliteration

Fire of the Makai; it all rings true
The others could never survive
They could not win without you
But I do wonder, as I am at the tip of your sword
Do you ever turn your battle inside?
Are their pains that you take pains to hide?

I think I know the truth, Hiei
Let's play that old drinking game
You can tell me all, fear not what I'll say
Your sister is your life, it is true
Do not fear change, for it must be
All of us must change internally

You fear the change will make you weak
I think not; do not cut me yet
I know of that which I speak
It is that of a worm to a butterfly
You will suffer weakness, yes
Of that, I can attest

But know, Forbidden Child
No power comes without the other side
Nothing great does not suffer the mild
Your dragon comes with a price
So does this new power that you wish to hide
You will become a much greater warrior, if you face what is inside.
