As the dark came down, And the shadows fell, Out came the spirits, To cast their spell. All little children, Ran to hide, Afraid of the goblins, And the bad outside. Under the covers, Safe and warm, Listening to the silence, Where the spirits swarm. They take the good, They take the bad, If they miss the silent, They'll find the mad. So tell all the children, To tuck up tight, The spirits and goblins, Will come out tonight.
