Since the night you came to me I've never felt the same
Now I sit alone in darkness, whispering your name
You stood there like a vision that stepped out of my dreams,
I thought I knew my heart but now nothing's as it seems
Strange that such deep pleasure can inspire so much fear,
Did the night play tricks on me or were you really here,
So vividly I remember your hands play across my skin,
Breaking every barrier until I let you in,
You shattered my defences and seized a racing heart,
Took a part of me that won't return as long as we're apart,
Then as suddenly as you appeared you faded into black,
I cry a thousand silent tears from wishing you were back
