Yellow Jellybeans

These pills
only hide the ache
the pain I got from you
crushing, searing, mind-numbing
eating me from within
so I take these pills
to kill the pain that's killing me
only the pills are killing me
slowly, quietly
death is closing in on me
everything's going black
I refuse to go out with a bang
just a whimper
goodnight everyone
