A Moonlit Song

I saw a shadow cross the face,
of the full moon shining bright.
And heard the shadow call to me ,
as it drifted through the night.
A symphony played for angels,
that wafted to my ears.
With promise to return again.
As winter draweth near.
Lonely Snow Geese winging north,
across a vast starlit sky.
With heaven only watching,
and one so small as I.
Countless days ,and countless miles.
forever wild and free.
Passing by this special night,
to say goodbye to me.
