After the Fight

~By AJ Cardall

She walks out
He begs her to stay
She says no
Now he must pay

They were so happy,
Right before the fight,
Why did he tell her
About that forbidden night.

He says he was drunk,
He blames the beer
She doesn't want to know,
The end draws near

He begs and pleads,
He's down at her feet.
She doesn't care,
She doesn't want a cheat.

He offers the olive branch,
And the turtle dove,
She says it's over
There is no love

Now she is alone,
She has no-one to call.
She has lost her man,
She has lost it all.
