Dear Friend

When the time comes,
the clock strikes midnight,
promise you won't run,
run and hide.
I promise you that I will stand for you.
I will defend you come the judgement day,
If you were sent to hell, and I heaven,
I would sacrifice my position in bliss,
Just so you could have another moment of peace.
If the walls around us
were to crumble and fall,
I would stand firm
and be with you when they fell.
Remember always, my dear friend,
No matter come hell or high water,
I will be there for you.
If there is something that you can’t do,
And it seems that no one around you cares
Just remember, I will always care,
I will always be there.
If e’er you need a place to stay,
Or a warm place to sit,
My door will always be open to you,
My dear sweet friend.
