The Dream Home

~By R. Sharadha

None can loot its treasures
None can perish its virtues and calmness
None can destroy its worth - its so precious
It's divine and priceless; That's the dream home's greatness.

The portal opens irrespective of caste and creed
The calling bell rings commanding to help persons really in need
The corridor permits the persons not favouring caste
The eternal door opens forever for those who serve till they breathe their last.

The walls are embellished with our priceless art and sculpture
The hall is adorned by the portraits of our valourous soldiers
The mirror reflects the light of joy and peace
The tables and chairs forever work people's ignorance and negligence to cease
The calendar dates from the struggle for freedom
The air invigorates the spirit of patriotism.

The broom sweeps away the filth of devil
The rooms remain pure by discarding the evil
The windows admit the filtered breeze of pleasantness and patience
The boughs bends gracefully to knit the bond of friendship among nations.

The trees whisper about fraternity and equality
The bees in the hive voice out charity and generosity
The sledge defies vice and fraudulence
The hedge defies the hard won independence.

The hearth burns out the greed of money and power
The earth showers the blessed fruits and flowers
The sands sow the seeds of unity
The land, forever yields welfare and prosperity
