Given One More Day

If every life perished
Was given one more day
What would they accomplish
Could they finish it all in a day
Would there be no phone
The TV sit blank in the home
Would they cry and hug their family alone
Or would they open up their home
Could they watch their own deaths
Would they want to
What would be their reaction to the twisted nest
Their fallen spot to come back to
If given one more day
So many unspoken words could be said
We'd have to give them up at the end of the day
But would we let them return to the dead
If only they had been given one more day
Dedicated to all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and written from inspiration of country music group Diamond Rio's song called "One More Day".
