Life Goes On

~By Gentry

The Church Walk (with Love)
A flash or two in the back of the sky,
I walk behind you, eyes closed, in prayer.
Touching the Sky-line - a cross scraping it,
A ring calls you, it calls us all.

We turn the corner to the tallest of them all,
Surrounded by people in tears we are.
You looked so peaceful when I last saw you,
You were proud and smiling.

As I looking down I see many heads in the crowds.
"Lord hear us" I say with a tear in my eye,
Your in the clouds now.
We pray for you - all of us

All lives were touched,
Nobody knew - did they.
The way it went was the way you wanted it.
Peaceful, private, and with love.

They laugh and joke now, about the good times,
From all over the States, Uk and Ireland.
I can't laugh at the jokes they seem cold to me.
With a tear in my eye I look up and I know...

Life must go on, so I smile and listen to their jokes though I can't
really laugh.

Until we meet again - and I know we will !

With lots of Love
