Forever Inspired

Was it all worth it
I can’t help but wonder,
Would I have gone through it again
Even though it was all torn asunder?
I’m sure others wouldn’t
And wonder why I’d even question,
But in my mind there is no doubt
Not even one worth mention.
How could I consider giving up
All those times that I was happy,
Along with all those feelings
Knowing how much you meant to me.
A beauty so pure
Was what caught my eye,
While the touch of your hand
Made my heart soar and touch the sky.
Much to my joy
Underneath that beauty gave way,
A wonderful personality
That made me feel the need to stay.
That sweet way about you
Gosh need I say more,
It somehow always affected me
Bringing a ray of hope felt deep to my core.
It still amazes me how much
Your smile could brighten my mood,
And how one soft whisper
Could so totally change my attitude.
At times it felt as though
All my thoughts and feelings had become swirled,
But that just goes to show you
How to me you meant the world.
Does all this seem right
Or perhaps it comes of as an exaggeration,
But to me those feelings are real
Which of course has become a source of frustration.
So in the end am I depressed
That things did not turn out as I had desired,
To this I say no and only add
That you and our time leaves me forever inspired.
