For You

A single tear fell down tonight
I cried that tear for you.
You are the one I want to
Forget the most -
But the one I have the
least memories with.
You were never there -
the nights I cried for you.
When I needed your motherly comfort the most –
You were but an image inside my mind.
You will never know
what a great person
You never raised me to be
I cried a single tear tonight
I swear – it’s the last tear
I waste on you.
