I Still Love You

~By Amanda Sielu Paris

Found a picture of you at the bottom of my purse
I thought I had hid them all away
I tried to avoid this moment of truth
A moment when it would all come rushing back

Now I could sit here and lie
Pretend I don't cry
Pretend this is a hurtle I just have to try
But you and I know the truth
I still love you
After I almost died
I somehow got up and brushed your memory aside
But no matter what I try and I can't deny
I still love you

I try to be mad
But I remember the tenderness we had
The look you gave the fire
How we use to make rumors run the wire
And I'm better for who you made me
Just haven't convinced my heart I'm better without you

Sometimes I hate you more than anyone
Sometimes I'm in a rage
But no one can get to me like you
That's probably why
I still love you
