The lookout squints and turns below.
"Dragon" he calls and looks for more.
But the spot in the sky that he sees
Is not the feared dragon, but merely a hawk
Going to find food
For it's young.
The dragon is no more.
But the people do not know it. They run,
Or prepare for a battle- a big, bloody battle.
But the dragon is no more.
The 'dragon' is within.
Roaring, breathing fire, tearing to get out
Into the physical world
Where it can cause havoc, uneasiness
Where it can do the most harm.
The dragon is not there for the people to fight.
It is something each person must do
Individually.
