God's Children

~By Sammyjean

I believe if God was still living today,
He would not like the way,
Some of his children has evolved and turned out.
Like the man who abducted the sixth grader
Behind a car wash and killed her.

I truly believe,
Without a shadow of doubt,
That God would wonder like many of us do at times,
What is this world coming to when we as God’s children do not help,
One another out?

Like you see a man holding a sign that says,
“will work for food”,
And he is looking kind of ragged.

What is the world truly coming to,
If we are to afraid of helping one another out?
For the fear it might turn out to the worst if we help someone out,
Especially when God in his infinite wisdom,
Created the biggest, moving, real life painting of all times.

That is what the world in my eyes looks like,
The rivers,
The oceans,
The bays,
The animals that live in the world under water and above it.

A sunset,
A sun rise,
A foggy cloud hanging over a hill,
Or a mountain, lunar eclipses, the way trees look along the road side!

Or coming down a hill,
The colors of the sky as the sun rises,
Or as it sets,
The northern lights,
Winter, and mountains are all God’s art.

We should be so lucky to live in such
A beautiful world.

I know I am.
