It matters not that I can hear your voice no longer
I will still listen for you
It matters not that you would want me to be stronger
I will still cry for you
It matters not that I cannot see your face
I will still look for you
It matters not that we cannot embrace
I will still reach for you
It matters not that I cannot tell you about my day
I will still talk to you
It matters not that you cannot be the one to give me away
I will still walk with you
It matters not that you’re in Heaven and we are far apart
I am still beside you
It matters not that my memories are kept deep in my heart
I will remember you
It matters not if I cannot see you right here by my side
I will still turn to you
You see to me it matters not that the angels took you when you died
I will always have you
What matters is only that to me you were both father and true friend
I will miss you
And that I loved you and you loved me until the very end
I will always love you
