Dear Father,

I know you hear me
And I know you understand
But sometimes I get lost
And cannot accept your plan
I never mean to doubt you
Or bring you any pain
But when the clouds won’t clear up
It just seems like endless rain
Why did you let this happen?
To someone I hold so dear
Leaving me to lie awake at night
With a painful stream of tears
I pray to you every day
But you still don’t grant my request
I try to have faith in you
And believe you know what’s best
So hear I am God, praying to you
Hoping that you’ll send me a light
So I can rest in peaceful dreams
Instead of questioning you every night
