Fame

~By Craig Mallon

She walks with unmatched grace,
Starlight shines upon her face,
Fame's kingdom is her domain,
A false smile hides her pain,

But inside she's crashing down,
Thorns line her starlet crown,
No true friends to share her fears,
Spotlight forcing back the tears,

Dressed in diamond, silk and fur,
Millions dream of being her,
But they don't see the void inside,
The shallow heart she tries to hide,

Now everybody knows her name,
There seems no limit to her fame,
A starlet who they all adore,
A lonely heart forever more
