The Untold Death of Camelot

~By Amanda Sielu Paris

A tale hidden under myth and time
It's not proven nor is it fact
It is not yours or mine
This epic reaches us from stories told

Lady Galiene haunted by other's images
From past, present, and future
She harbors all she can manage
A visionary child becoming woman

Sir Agravaine a proven knight
The nephew of King Arthur
He is shadowed by the King's sunlight
But he is true to stay by his side

A sworn enemy claimed her home
His chivalry saved her life
Now she was on her own
Or so she came to believe

Lady Galiene and Sir Agravaine
The whispers and rumors
A love story for time not wasted in vain
They planned a union to outlast eternity

But Lady Galiene saw her future's end
She cast away Sir Agravaine
Lady Galiene saw but could not mend
Her death came as revealed

Sir Agravaine cursed his uncle's God
He had not been with her when she'd gone
Many found it odd
The pieces were told but never to fit

So no one knows how she left
Her story was lost in the folds
Camelot was strong before she slept
A part left out as the legend goes

For then came the end of Camelot
The legends, myths, and stories were told
But never did they tell the lot
The fair kingdom fell at the break of Sir Agravaine's heart

The broken heart of Sir Agravaine had taken its toll
He was never the same
It became a key role
Camelot began to fall to its end

His eldest brother had wanted glory
King Arthur listened
Sir Gawain was only sorry
He caused the death of his youngest brother

Lady Galiene strived to protect
She wanted to save her love from pain
But caused the death of Camelot to project
'Tis the untold death of Camelot

So may the truth be announced
Lady Galiene was a part
May her name be renounced
Echoed as Guinevere and Lancelot

There's the story to be told
Each part has an impact
Something does not just unfold
Neither did the death of Camelot
