Lucy's In The Sky With Diamonds

Inspired by the song “Lucy in the sky with Diamonds”
written by Lennon/McCartney

~By Dan

Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
Lucy’s in the sky with me
Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
We are so happy, don’t you see?

There’s tangerine trees
And marmalade skies
And wonders so great
You won’t believe your eyes
So come along
Give it a try
Join Lucy and me
In the sky

Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
She only gets there ‘cause she tries
Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
She’s the girl with kaleidoscope eyes

The flowers are so tall
That they’ll dwarf me and you
They’re yellow and green
And made of cellophane, too
There are marshmallow pies
That the rocking horse people eat
Located by the fountain
They are such a treat

Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
She’s the girl with kaleidoscope eyes
Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
She wants to be there when she dies

Taxis are made of newspaper
To take you wherever you wish
But please take your head out of the clouds
So that you can see the fish
And when the time comes to go home
Be sure to catch the train at the platform
Sit down on your chocolate seat
And stifle a yawn

Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
Lucy’s in the sky with me
Lucy’s in the sky with Diamonds
We are so happy, don’t you see?
