The Unforgettable Loss

~By Watersprite

It’s over. It’s done. I can’t do anything more.
I dug, I dug deep. Yearning he’ll be at rest.
Carved, carved by hand, solemnly stands his gravestone.
It was soon, too soon. It shouldn’t have happened.
But it’s over, he’s gone. We were too late for him.
Learn, learn from what happened.
Death, death does not end it all.
It hurts. It hurts us more than you.
Loss, a forever gleaming scar on our hearts. Love, it is heavenly miraculous, once first experienced.
But careful, love can be the cause of pain and sorrow.
Reason, the reason of so many deaths out there.
