Memorize Your Face

My biggest fear is losing you forever
Knowing what I had and what's missing
Never having a chance to say good-bye
Never holding you one last time
So give me this moment
Give me the time
I'll try to remember your face
Remember every feature
The eyes that held everything I needed to know
Your lips that tasted so sweet
I'll memorize your face
And hold it in my heart forever
We may have forever
Or the rest of our lives
Or we may just have tonight
Too many times I let you out that door
Just a quick hug and kiss
I'd never live without myself if that had been the last time
God blessed me with you to hold
I've never been so lucky as I am right now
Chance has graced me thus far
But I won't take it for granted
Never do I want to wake up
With the knowledge that you can't come back
But give me the chance to memorize your face
