Nature's Beauty

~By Melody Lee-Carte

As I walk along this mountain
coated in the purest white
a postcard only God could send
is what I have in sight

It's clothed in lovely sparkles
that flow swiftly into heaps
wrapping the earth in a blanket
while Mother Nature sleeps

With bells ringing in a distance
from a church with sculptured snow
icicles hanging from the eaves
the Christmas lights are a glow

This fleecy white cloaks the land
the trees are in cotton balls
the water is frozen over
as it cascades from the falls

Snow is nature's beauty
with all of it's charming grace
I stand amazed at this picture
covered in beautiful lace
