Goodbyes And Loneliness
~By By Rev. Dr. Lucius Magnus
I visit you every chance I get
I always bring flowers
and whisper I love you
On long nights I think of you
as I lie in bed awake
and tears course down my cheeks
I remember you touch
and the scent of your hair
as we laid together on fields of green
beneath crystal blus skies
You completed me as no one else could
As I stand here and grieve
I think, "Why not me, instead?"
I see the twinkle in your eyes
in the clear night skies
I hear your laughter
with every sigh of the breeze
It's so hard without you
by my side
You were my love, my life, my soul
Everything I wanted in a friend
I found in you
Your caress was like the petal
of a red rose
My roses are black now
Goodbyes are hard
but the loneliness is killing my spirit

Thank you.
