Solitude

~By Kooki

Sitting, crying, on the floor,
Those happy faces are no more.
I glance towards the bedroom door,
Where are you now, the one I saw?

I'm sitting here, awaiting you,
Feeling scared, feeling blue.
Come find me now and take me to,
The one I love, that one is you.

Their screams I hear above the crowd,
They loved me once, but do they now?
They frighten me - they shout so loud.
Their angry screams, that howling sound.

What do you think, what do you feel?
It seems so fake, it seems unreal.
The hurt they caused will never heal,
I'll never wipe away these tears.

Take me away, and make me free,
Take me back and let me see,
The one I was; The other me.
Don't leave me here, don't leave this be.
