Dominating The Fast Lane

~By J. Fisher

I feel something coming
In the pit of my stomach
Chaotic butterflies
Swarming inside
Seven months
Of quiet sleep
Has brought me to this place

The misery
Has left me
Memories
Of that yesterday
Drenched in wine
That bitter taste
Sweetens with every breath

As I rise
Hear the cracks
Reviving themselves
My rest was long
My body rejoices loudly
For the tender touch
Of a boy who will love me
Properly

Feet on ground
I can’t contain myself
Exploding and Imploding
All over
This beautiful day
Leaning into all
That sparkles brightly
I emanate
In catastrophic proportion

All that kept me
In that slumber
Be very careful
Stay to the side
This quiet Princess
Has found herself again
And she is ready
To Dominate The Fast Lane
