As You Sleep

~By Kenisha D. Collins

As you sleep
so peacefully beside me
I am reminded of your love.
You fill my heart
with endless ecstasy
and just your kiss
fills my body
with breath-taking bliss
and never ending desire
to be with you forever.
With absence of your love
life would not go on for me
my heart will open
for no one else
my soul will long
for your enticing love
and my body will collapse
from deepened emptiness.
So with everyday
I tighten my embrace
on your love that
holds my every desire
my every passion
my every dream
so I can live on
with even the thought
of your love
in my heart.
Now I turn to you
and smile
for your love is with me
even
as you sleep.
