What Am I?

I drive through the mountains and trees to a place of peace.
I enter this place of peace willingly and see friends, coworkers, and family.
I punch in at the clock at four and punch out again at eight.
I walk down halls towards my final destination.
I enter a world of hot and cold, spices and aromas, that will make your stomach growl and your tastebuds awaken.
I set up meals, scrape and wash dishes, smile when spoken to, and hold all emotion inside till it turns to pure energy.
I take order from a supervisor who is a complete mystery to me and who I am a complete mystery to also.
I have a set of the rules and regulation which are set in stone.
I have duties that change each day, which I have to adhere to and respect without complaints.
I am always on call and never far away.
And at the end of the day I pray to God above to protect my friends, coworkers, family, and resident whom I care for in the few short hours that I am there each day.
But the question still remains,
What am I?
I am a daughter, sister, and a Dietary Aide in a place of peace that I love a little bit more each day.
