Empty Cases

~By Caboose

Turn about, about and all I see,
Are shadows of people who used to be.
Empty cases os souls they have become,
Minds twisted and broken have become dumb.

Voiceless mouths work on loose hinges,
Words come empty, affected by binges.
Their innocence has been lost,
For fun at too dear a cost,
For mothers and fathers are left to weep,
As fed the worms these cases keep.

Too many a tear has marred the dirt,
Temtations, death, with thrill they'd flirt.
But no more they will risk, these empty cases,
For they lie in their final resting places.
