The Rose

~By TShanik

Branches lacing through the air.
They're reaching to touch the sky.
Trying hard to learn to fly
like a beautiful butterfly
Jealous are they when they see, how beautiful is he.
Little do they know, they'll have leaves.

Flowers bloom in the grassy ground.
Pretty colors all around.
Red, Blue and even Brown, calling all the butterflies to the ground.
Yet, isolated and alone, a beautiful rose has grown.
Little does she know, she will steal the show.

Shining, sparkling, glistening and beautiful.
The rose will capture the world.
Kissed by the golden sun, she will be the gorgeous one!
With her red petals touched by morning dew, this is her finest hour.
When she opens up and becomes a flower.
