My Medieval Life Dream - A Sonnet

I am a princess locked away in a tower
My mother is a dragon
She leaves me cowering, afraid of fire showers
I'd run away to a dark lagoon
Cast off like an Oress, alone, solitary
I'm not beautiful like a princess you know,
I don't act like a princess or even a fairy
My knight father is on a journey in the snow
Never to return from his journey
I'd give my heart out to such a man
But my medieval life is a tournament
Of it I'm not a fan
Other wise I'd be proud
But for this medieval life dream, that shouldn't be allowed.
