No One Saw

No one saw as you watched the horizon blur,
As the stinging tears in your eyes mixed
With the fading sun as you saw the hazy city
Shifting below you.Your bare toes curled themselves
Around the ledge as two sweaty palms
Ran through your long, tangled hair.
You inhaled the fumes of the city for the last time.The taste of tap water lingered in your mouth,
Reminding you of your early dinner of small, white tablets
And no one saw as you thrust your face into humid air, and
Let out your last desperate gasp.
No one saw you fall.
No one saw it end.
