The Oath

From sickness to health and back again,
I will follow you with my soul and my brain
To the ends of the earth. It matters not
That we are apart or that life is not
Always fair. The only things that seem to matter
Are the way we act when we are together,
The ways that we are better,
That we are friends and that our love is based
On the complete trust of God.
Perhaps in the future there will be a taste
Of things to come and that you and I will be
Together forever. I hope that you can see
What God has given to me. A love that spans
Eternity and has no restrictions or bans.
For me there is no other place that I would rather
Be than by your side with our Father
As our guide.
