Poetry Contest Entry

To see beyond all that we know
One must move beyond all the unknowns
To see beyond the mind, through the heart
To the soul
One must move beyond the unknowns

No matter how long the Sun delays
Upon its weary course,
One can move beyond his vision,
To see past all the unknowns.

The sights we see, the dreams we dream,
Are all but shadows of reality.
When the shadows fade, so shall we,
Unless we move beyond this reality.
