In My Dreams

Here I am just sitting here
In my bed all alone
Wishing I could talk to you
Or call you on the phone
To tell you how much I love you
How much I need your touch
But instead I’m just sitting here
With my memories as a crutch
My memories help me through the day
And through the long and lonely night
I dream of seeing you someday
And having you in my sight
I dream of holding you in my arms
And whispering sweet things in your ear
Of kissing you so tenderly
And assuring you there’s no fear
Every time you cross my mind
My face just seems to beam
Anytime I think of you
Or see you in my dreams
