As I sit and reflect on the year gone past
And think of the year yet to come
I realise that there are things I could've done better
And things I shouldn't have done.
But now is not the time for worries or woes
Nor the time for regret
The new year is coming, error-free so far
And this I can not forget.
But before I make any rash decisions,
Before I take a step ahead
I must remember decisions I made before
And take different paths instead.
Because I want to make a difference,
To do something that will last.
So before we do anything for the future,
Sit back, and remember the past.
