Darkness All Around
~By Evan Thomas
I see what only the blind man sees, all
eternity.
I hear what only deaf men hear, darkness all
around.
I listen to the mute man, in his silent wisdom.
Darkness all around, the night caves in around me.
I try to escape, but I find no redemption.
I try to hide, but my face is already hidden.
Blinded by the night, deafened by such silence.
Listening to no-one.
Darkness all around, no sense will save me now.
Darkness like a wall surrounds me.
Darkness muffles all my sounds, every word I
speak.
Darkness like a blessed curse, swallows me whole.
I see what only the blind man sees, all eternity.
I hear what only deaf men hear, darkness all
around.
I listen to the mute man in his silent
wisdom...darkness, not a sound, darkness all
around.
