Ballad Of The Titanic

~By Leia

It was 1912
When the ship set sail
And nobody knew
The journey would fail

When they waved goodbye
Nobody would think
That there were only 4 days
Before the ship would sink

By now the ship
Was sailing away
The sailors had no idea
That big trouble was heading there way

The lookouts spotted the iceberg
And said to the captain "look out!"
The captain said " don't worry,
There's no need to scream and shout"

The captain heard a noise
Coming from the side of the ship
And he started to realize
The ship had started to tip

Down and down it went
Titanic the ship of dreams
All the joyful singing turned
Into shouts and screams

The music was still playing
When the ship sunk further down
People were struggling to hold on
But many others had already drowned

By now everyone was in the water
Most of them had died
But only a few lucky ones
Had managed to survive!!!
