Wishing

~By Scamall

I want, but do I want it?
Wishing can be fun,
But do I want it, in truth?
I may not be able
To hold like porcelain so fragile
As a wish come true
Be careful what you wish for, it may just get it
Someone once said
But do I really want to wish?
I want it now
But will I later?
Will it be as before?
No!
Nothing is ever the same
Change, movement, distance, time
We are not where we were
All life and situations: never repeating
How can I wish for what is gone?
But to have those times
It would be such sweet comfort
Yet the doubt that chews away at my fleeting heart remains
Means that I will never wish
So I return to the beginning
Travelled as through dizzy with life
Around and around
Around myself
Where am I now?
Back at the start
I do not wish because I love too much
And fear I may get what I most want.
