What Is It We Live For

Life,
What is it that we live for?
Is it love,
No, for I know not love.
Is it happiness,
No, for I know not happiness.
Is it joy,
No, for I know not joy.
Is it passion,
No, for I know not passion.
Is it pain,
Yes, for I know pain.
Is it sadness,
Yes, for I know sadness.But this is only what I know,
What you know may differ,
But most of us only go,
To be the people others think we are.
But what if we are not what they think?
What if we are the opposite?
But what if we know no one that knows us,
For who knows us better than ourselves?No one knows us.
No one loves us.
No one wishes us happiness.
No one wishes us joy.But, everyone would, at some time,
Wish us pain.
And everyone would, at some time,
Wish us sadness.So, think, what is life,
What is it that we live for?
