Standing In The Rain

~By Amanda Sielu Paris

I'll forget that night
The sun had shined all day
Then the clouds rolled in as if on cue
Do you remember that day
Or have you let it slip away

I bet this doesn't even phase you
Your pretty words don't mean much now
YOu could always talk your way through
But you forget where you left me crying

When you left me standing in the rain
Completely open to any lightening strike
Praying for the drops of rain to wash away the pain
Was it the sound of the thunder or my heart breaking
When you walked away
When you left me standing in the rain

I shoulda known you were to good to be true
Should have seen the heartache a mile away
But the wind blew up something we couldn't weather
So you walked away left me standing in the rain

Tell me it does it rain down on you
Do you ever regret leaving me standing in the rain
