You Said We Never Were

You said we never were
So I guess that love I felt was never true
I guess those arms that held me were never really there
And I guess those last words you whispered were just in my head
When you left you said we never were
So I guess what I thought was my heart breaking was nothing more than a nightmare
I guess those tears that fell were never cried
And those last words that you whispered were just in my head
